The Basadi Collective led the full event execution for the launch of Country Road’s first Green Star retail store at Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront. Tasked with bringing the brand’s sustainability vision to life, the team curated an immersive experience that highlighted Country Road’s commitment to responsible design. From conceptualizing the event flow to managing production and guest engagement, The Basadi Collective ensured a seamless and impactful launch that aligned with the brand’s eco-conscious values.
Approach
The new 993-square-meter store is designed with sustainability at its core, incorporating recycled plastics, polyester yarn, and wool, as well as locally sourced furniture. Aiming for a prestigious 5-Star Green Star interior certification from the Green Building Council of South Africa, the store sets a new benchmark for sustainable retail spaces. Through strategic event planning and execution, The Basadi Collective created a launch that not only introduced the store to the market but also reinforced Country Road’s leadership in an environmentally responsible fashion.
